Latest update on the London 2012 stadium

Apologise for my long absence ;/
I have been searching and searching for a story to share but haven't found one I've been interested in, so thought I would fill you in with the latest news on London 2012 Olympic stadium.

The 2012 Olympic stadium has had its final turf placed down. From images, the stadium is looking incredible. No one thought the stadium would be ready in time, but with a year still to go I think they'll do it. The games are almost near and I personally am looking forward to seeing the first Olympics in which both men and women will compete in every sport. Women's boxing should be interesting ;S.... Could this be a booster to gender equality?

Australian Floods

The Australian city Brisbane has been suffering from one of the worst floods it has had in years, with water levels reaching peak levels.12 people have died with dozens still missing. 20-30, 000 people has been to have been affected by the flooding. With water levels reported as 4.5m last Thursday.

This natural disaster has caused chaos and distraught to Brisbane. However the only the key to overcoming this disaster is for the community to work together, which is what citizenship really is. More natural disasters are occurring and I feel there are more to come. But what's amazed me is how people have worked together to overcome these disasters such as: the Haiti earth quake and the mining incident, it shows that mankind still has some humanity.

This news flash is a little old because I wrote it last week and have only just typed it up. Sorry.
